While some of the more high fashion looks date fairly quickly, a classic wardrobe is always in style. Think Audrey Hepburn, or more modern style mavens like Natalie Portman, and Angelina Jolie. .All share the knack for realising a timeless sense of style, with looks which can comfortably span the decades.

Fashion styles which hark back to Hollywood’s glamour era are more popular than ever for stars treading the red carpet, which just goes to show that some looks will always work, whether it’s the 1930s, 1960s or 2009.

So how do you go about achieving a wardrobe with timeless style and appeal? Go for clothes which are simple and not too fussy. Choosing pieces which can be paired with others in a variety of ways to create multiple looks also makes sense.
