A Nokia 7900 Review for the Fashion-conscious Mobile Users

no comment

If you are looking for a brand of mobile phone which can suit every possible individual taste, that is none other than Nokia. The company has already released fashion phones, mobile phones targeting business users, and basically every imaginable model that people are looking for in an average handset.

A couple of years ago, Nokia has launched the L’Amour Collection. The two mobile phones which belong to this collection are the Nokia 7390 L’Amour Collection bronze mobile phone, and the Nokia 7373 L’Amour mobile phone.

Both models come with a tribal art design, 3D appliqué, embossed leather finishing – but it’s not all outer beauty – the features are fully functional, too!

So what came next after the Nokia L’Amour Collection? A new line of phones which the company calls the Nokia Prism Collection.

Nokia 7900 Prism Review: The Launching of the Nokia Prism Collection

There are two mobile phone models included under the Nokia Prism Collection:
1. Nokia 7900 Prism
2. Nokia 7500 Prism

These two models were released last August 7, 2007. According to the company itself, the Nokia Prism collection is aimed at style-conscious consumers. What the line of Nokia Prism phones does is to combine the mobile phone user’s individual style with the latest that mobile phone technology has to offer.

So what makes these two units different from all the other mobile phones that Nokia has in their extensive collection? The highlights of the phone include cutting-edge colors, a signature diamond-cut design and graphic light-refracting colors.

You surely would not miss the Nokia Prism phones once you see them displayed on a store!

Nokia 7900 Prism Specifications

Now, let us take a look at the features of one mobile phone in particular which is included with the Nokia Prism Collection: The Nokia 7900 Prism.

First up, here are the Nokia 7900 Prism specifications:

- 240×320 pixel, 2-inch screen display with 16M colors
- 2 Megapixel camera
- 1 GB memory
- Bluetooth, MicroUSB and GSM connectivity
- MP3/MIDI/AAC/eAAC+/WMA media player

The predecessor of the Nokia 7900 Prism is the Nokia 7500 which is also part of the Nokia Prism Collection.

This phone is definitely for the fashion conscious. The thin design – it’s only 11 mm thin – and the changeable keypad backlight are the two features that fashionistas would like most about the Nokia 7900 Prism.

As the name implies, this phone is pyramid or triangle inspired so the design is really eye catching. This is especially true when it comes to the keypad.

The downside is that there are some usability issues that you need to deal with – like the functionality of the keypad, which some people may find difficult to use.

If you are on the lookout for mobile phone deals and a unit which screams fashion-conscious – then the Nokia 7900 Prism is definitely for you. However, you need to learn how to deal with the design flaw which is mainly the keypad.

The Nokia 7900 Prism mobile phone is available now. View price comparisons or read the Nokia 7900 Prism review.

King Of Queens (Season 2) DVD Review

no comment

The King Of Queens premiered in Fall 1998 as a spin-off series related to the popular sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. Based on the life of a bit character from that show, The King Of Queens follows the life of IPS delivery man Doug Heffernan (Kevin James) and his wife Carrie (Leah Remini). Much like its predecessor, the series makes use of similar marriage humor material as the basis for its premise. Throw in the hilarious Jerry Stiller as the live-in father-in-law, and The King Of Queens is one of the funniest sitcoms currently on the air…

The King of Queens (Season 2) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere “Queasy Rider” in which Doug buys a motorcycle, clearly violating Carrie’s stated wishes. As part of a plan to get Doug to sell the motorcycle, Carrie takes up smoking, telling Doug that she’ll give up cigarettes when he gives up the bike. But when Doug sells the bike, Carrie’s guilt causes her to buy it back, resulting in some unintended consequences… Other notable episodes from Season 2 include “Parent Trapped” in which Deacon and his wife Kelly ask Doug and Carrie to be the godparents of their newborn (they decline, but then regret doing so), and “Net Prophets” in which Doug and Carrie invest their Christmas bonus in the stock of an online company they know little about…
