Nokia 5800 and Nokia N97 – the Touch of Power

no comment

The world of touchscreen mobile phones is starting to get exciting, as the most well known brand in the game has waded in with not one, but TWO mobile phones: the sexy Nokia 5800 and the unspeakably awesome Nokia N97.

Off to a bad start – Nokia touchscreen mobile phones in the past

Most people are under the incorrect assumption that the Nokia 5800 is the first touchscreen phone to wear the Nokia label. It isn’t. Actually, there have been several touchy-feely phones released under the Nokia badge. Starting at the 7700, we’ve seen a couple of Nokia mobile phones that work by touch. They all shared pretty big touchscreens, but the other feature they had in common, unfortunately, was that they were irredeemably awful. Only one of these mobile phones, the 6708, showed a modicum potential, but that was destined only for China, and thus, we never got to play with them in Britain. Unfortunately, that meant that the phones we got were utter, utter toss.

However, those bad recollections have all been exorcised due to the announcement of two new Nokia mobile phones, both of which come with touch-sensitive displays, and both of which are so much sexier…

Nokia 5800 – if music be the food of love…

The first phone up is a brand new member of Nokia’s Xpress family of music mobile phones, the stunning Nokia 5800. This one’s pretty obviously built for music and media, as it has a separate XpressMedia touch-key which brings up a list of shortcuts to music, videos, the internet, and more. Then, of course, the Nokia 5800 has a 3.2 inch touchscreen, to let you muck about with those different media files. Basically, the Nokia 5800 was designed as a teeny portable entertainment centre, and as music handsets go, this is just about the sweetest. The Nokia 5800 also comes with a 3 megapixel camera, HSDPA internet connection and sat-nav, so that it’s a brilliant all-round mobile phone, as well as a superb media gadget. Oh, and it has a strap to attach a fake guitar pick. Pointless, but brilliant.

Despite all those features, the Nokia 5800 is very definitely a mid-range device; it’s not, nor was it ever meant to be, an absolute powerhouse. That role falls to a different mobile…

Nokia N97 – the single best phone EVER made?

With the Nokia 5800 on track to deliver touch-based mobile phones to the mid-range market, that leaves a great big gap at the absolute top-endof the product range; well, there IS a touch-based mobile phone waiting to be unleashed to take its place as the top-end powerhouse: the utterly mind-blowing Nokia N97. This uses the same Symbian S60 Touch operating system and packages it within the shell of a proper, full-on smartphone. So it has a massive, 3.5 inch screen, a kick out QWERTY keypad, and the camera now weighs in at a meaty 5 megapixels. The Nokia N97 is, in a very definite way, destined to be the new flagship Nseries mobile phone, and it’s truly as powerful as we’d heard from rumours, with HSDPA, GPS, digital compass, and built-in Flash, meaning you get an internet experience like no other mobile phones! Put it like this: the Nokia N97 is simple incredible. It gleefully relieves itself over other mobile phones and while the Nokia 5800 angles firmly for the mid-range, I’m predicting that the Nokia N97 will completely DOMINATE the world in 2009!

5 Top Tips For Getting Started On The Internet

no comment

I’ve had a lot on my mind recently, which probably explains the restless nights I’ve been having. Not only do I have a ton of work to get through, I also have hundreds of money making ideas, constantly mulling around in my head, begging for my attention.
As an internet marketer I am always on the look out for new ways to generate money online.

Even though I currently have a number of money making systems in place, such as affiliate programmes and niche websites, I still feel the urgency to create more income streams.

That’s the great thing about the internet, the opportunities are enormous. If you are prepared to put in the hard work, the rewards can be fantastic. The mere fact that there are hundreds of thousands of products to buy and sell makes it an ideal market place for making money. Of course you need to find the right products to begin with and we all know how difficult that can be.

With so many products available it’s easy to understand why so many marketers jump from one product to another, in the hope of making a quick buck.

In my experience that is probably the biggest mistake new marketers make. They buy a product that promises to generate instant cash, then try it out for a while, then when it doesn’t make any money, they look around for another product, promising exactly the same thing. It’s an endless cycle of disappointment and failed opportunity.

It seems like everyone these days wants to make money on the internet as quickly as possible. However, the reality is it takes time and a lot of hard work to gain any sort of success. You can make money in a short period of time, I have done it myself, but in my experience it’s only for small amounts and it doesn’t last.

I have been making money on the internet for several years now. I started by creating a website for my offline business, which at the time was selling luxury food and wine hampers. Although the website was quite successful, it was mainly a seasonal business geared around the Christmas market. So for two months of the year we were rushed off our feet with orders, but for the rest of the year is was pretty quiet.

That’s when I started to take a serious look at internet marketing. I didn’t make any real money in the beginning, in fact I must have spent thousands of dollars on various products and membership sites. Like most people starting out on the internet, I found it all quite daunting. There was so much to learn, never enough time and so many products to try out.

I recall one of my very first eBooks I created, well when I say created, it was a PLR (private label rights) product that I bought, which meant I was allowed to edit it.  I rebranded it by changing a few paragraphs here and there, adding a few links and hey presto, I had a money making machine. All I needed to do now was create a web site, sit back and wait for the money to come rolling in. (yeh right)

I don’t believe I sold a single unit for that particular product, which incidentally was “how to create a bucket load of money by buying and selling coins”. Although I didn’t make any money, the experience I gained was priceless.

From that day to the present time, I have continued to learn the skills required to generate regular income on the internet, and I am now a full time internet marketer, working from the comfort of my home.

Believe me there are hundreds of ways to make money on the internet. You just need to be patient, very persistent and open minded to all kinds of opportunities. The best advice I could give anyone starting out as an internet marketer, is to give yourself time to learn and to understand how things work.

Do your research and due diligence, then find a topic or a niche that really gets your juices flowing, something you are passionate about (or at the very least interest in) then learn everything there is to know about the subject and become an expert.

Five Tips For Getting Started On The Internet

1. Give Yourself Time

Don’t expect to learn everything overnight, it’s not going to happen. Give yourself at least six months, even then you will have only just scratched the surface. Remember its going to take time and a lot of hard work. If you flip from one project to another, you will soon suffer from information overload and it will be less enjoyable. So take your time and try to understand each step as you go along.

2. Research, Research, Research

Learn all you can about everything associated with internet marketing and making money online.
Go to Google and type in “internet marketing” and “making money online”, you will find a ton of information. Spend time researching different products, different money making systems and study the millionaire experts like, Stephen Pierce, Mike Vance, Jerry Clark, Mark Victor Hansen, Mike Filsaime and Frank Kern to name a few.

3. Find A Mentor

There are a number of very successful and wealthy internet marketers, who have created a band of loyal followers, not to mention a millionaire lifestyle. Internet marketers like Stephen Pierce, Frank Kern and Mike Filsaime are three names to checkout. What these guys don’t know about internet marketing isn’t worth knowing.

I personally follow Stephen Pierce, I am a member on a number of his websites. He always provides first class information, tips and advice. He also gives away a lot of free stuff, which is always helpful if you’re just starting out and short of cash. I keep a watchful eye on what Stephen is up to, what new products he is promoting and what new methods on internet marketing he is using.

4. Join A Membership Club Or Forum.

There are many thousands of membership sites, that promise to show you how to make a shed load of money. In my experience I would say at least half of them are a complete waste of time and money. However, there are some very good membership sites that will show you step by step systems, on how to
generate a regular income. As always do your research, go on internet marketing forums, ask lots of questions and join in with the discussions.

5. Take Action

Once you get to the stage where you have learnt the basic skills and you understand how systems work, its time to take action. Have a go, create a few products yourself, write a few articles, post on a few forums, and never be afraid to make mistakes. I have created so many really awful products in the past, and written articles that I would rather forget about. It’s all a learning curve, but at some stage you must take action, because like most things in life, it’s a gradual step on the ladder to success. So the sooner you start the sooner you will be on your way to financial freedom.
